I built this bike a few years ago, shortly before my life became way too busy and I stopped having much time to ride at all — to say nothing of riding the type of terrain this bike is built for. It pains me to sell this bike, but it’s simply more bike than I will be able to use at this point. It’s unbelievable in slippery conditions, with the drivetrain automatically transferring power to the front wheel when the rear wheel slips or when the front wheel gets stuck. Riding on mud, broken rock, and snow is easier than you’d ever expect, and you’ll run less aggressive tires for more efficient rolling on smoother surfaces without losing the ability to climb the steepest terrain your legs can handle. I bought this bike as a frame-and-fork combo, direct from Christini in Philadelphia, and I built it with the following parts: Medium-size Christini Venture AWD frame White Brothers air fork (integrated with frame) Fox Glide rear shock Christini front AWD hub Shimano Deore XT rear hub Mavic rims Wheelsmith spokes brass spoke nuts Michelin Country Dry tires Salsa titanium quick-release skewers Hope X2 hydraulic disc brakes Shimano Deore XT crankset bottom bracket Blackspire 26T 44T chainrings Salsa chainring bash guard Crank Brothers 50/50 platform pedals Shimano Deore XT 10-speed sprocket cassette SRAM X.0 2×10 shifters & derailleurs (front derailleur is reasonably modified to accommodate wide-ratio chainrings) Aluminum rear-derailleur pulleys Jagwire compressionless Teflon-coated derailleur cables Wippermann stainless-steel chain Easton XC70 carbon-fiber seatpost & handlebar FSA stem ODI bolt-on handlebar grips Vetta wireless cyclometer (Note: The Cane Creek bar-end grips and Specialized Milano saddle aren’t included with this sale.) This bike has seen maybe 10 hours of use in the 5 years since I built it, so all components are *at least* in Excellent condition, with some qualifying as Like-New condition. If you’d slightly use your own components, I am willing to remove some of my components to lower the price, but the fork, rear shock, drivetrain, brakes, and wheels want to be sold with the frame. NOTE REGARDING SHIPPING: As a result of the large size of this item, after the sale is complete I can take it to a local bike shop for proper packaging. This will add a couple days to the shipping time.
