The tubing shapes and lay-ups came out of the same ACE modeling program BMC employed to design the new SLR01. The geometry is equal to the new SLR01 as well. The ride, tuned for stiffness and comfort, is very much the same, too.The differences start showing up atop the seat tube. You’ll notice a round seat post, a cost-saving feature. BMC adds comfort by installing their compliancepost, with 18mm of offset.
