1979 CIOCC San cristobal 59.5 cm – Campagnolo Super Record – Gold plated This Ciöcc San Cristobal is likely one of the better preserved bicycle we have ever seen. Ridden for a few miles and then left on display on a stand for almost 35 years, this magnificent steed is in near NOS conditions except for a paint chip beside the right shifter, and under the down tube due to the long permanence on the stand. It was completely serviced, and what we discovered was just a little bit of dried grease, perfect bearings and bearing races. It has a gold plated panto fork, head tube, head lugs rear triangle and seat lug, at the same time as the rest of the frame is painted in a lightly metalized white, an incredibly elegant and well preserved livery. The bike is built with a Campagnolo Super Record group set with drilled gear shifters, “Mexico style” shaped crankset, FT Bologna hubs laced on Nisi Countach rims, (FT was a small manufacturer which produced ultralight alloy and titanium aftermarket parts), a Cinelli 1R panto stem clamping on a Cinelli Campione Del Mondo handlebar, and Campagnolo Record panto seat post. Giovanni Pelizzoli autographed the bike. The Ciocc brand was founded by Giuseppe Pelizzoli (who had worked as a frame builder for De Rosa), with headquarters in Curno (Bergamo), in the first half of the sixties. Pelizzoli still produces frames today. For a complete list of technical details and frame size please refer to our “technical sheet” below.
